I had the pleasure of hearing a young man’s testimonial of how God brought him from fruitlessness to fruitfulness. He began to tell me about his deliverance; eight months earlier he lost his job, fell ill due to his ongoing battle with PTSD caused by a traumatic experience. “I couldn’t function properly at home, some days I couldn’t get out of bed and somedays I couldn’t even sleep” He told me. Around December he started to feel a little better as months passed, he felt completely unproductive, barren, desolate and out of nowhere the grace of God fell upon Him.

“That grace showed up in His servant; I received a call from Chancellor Nicole Sewell with an offer for me to be a part of the Emet family. Immediately, I seen the hands of God reaching out, picking me up from the dirt. I felt His glory shining life into my very soul and for the first time in a long time I felt the sense of purpose, I had understanding that I was more than just a slave to a clock” He continued… in that exact moment time stood still, I felt something growing inside me (little did he know…this was fruit) “I didn’t know what it was” he said. From that moment on he put his best foot forward, making a commitment to himself of never traveling back down the path of unproductiveness. He was producing fruits, ones he cared for like a parent with a newborn baby.

And like a person who’s growing with the gift of fruitfulness he said “I took every criticism as a grain of salt, and that salt added flavor to my character”. He continued to say “God showed me that in due time, in the right season I would produce fruit not tangible fruit but spiritual, mental and emotional fruit. The kind that would not only feed my spirit but feed those who hunger and who are hungry to see the fruits of their labor”. Preston Blackwell Jr. Was that young man, now the Corporate Professional Education Consultant at Emet Global with a passion and determination to produce good fruit to this world in a time that we most needs love, motivation and to be fed spiritually.

I hope that this week’s testimonial of Preston’s experience of facing trials and tribulations will inspire you the way it inspired me. His endurance, character, and hope in times of trouble that God will plant seeds of fruitfulness.
